Unicorp: Vocation for Technology
Founded in 1996 by an engineer specializing in shop floor automation, Unicorp was born from a passion for automation and the deep expertise gained over a decade in the field.
After completing his master’s degree at Poli-USP, the founder identified challenges in laboratory automation at the time. This need led to the creation of UniLIMS, initially known as NetControl. After its successful implementation in five laboratories, the engineer recognized the vast potential of the tool. This realization inspired him to develop a doctoral thesis at USP-Poli, advocating for a versatile platform capable of serving both Physical-Chemical and Microbiological testing laboratories.
In 2000, UniLIMS evolved into version 2.0, incorporating the concepts from this thesis, and has since continued to grow and adapt for over two decades.

Launch of UniLIMS V1, enhancing sanitary control in the São Paulo Metropolitan Region and revolutionizing laboratory automation in local labs.
1999 - Expanding Borders
UniLIMS V3 is implemented at the central laboratory in Salvador, marking our first significant geographical expansion.
2000 - Technological Evolution
Migration of UniLIMS to the Oracle Database platform and launch of PocketLab, an innovative solution for PocketPCs.
2001 - Industrial-Scale Sewage Treatment
UniLIMS is implemented in 5 WWTPs, managing the treatment of an impressive 20 m³/s of wastewater.
2002 - Driven for Quality
UniLIMS updates focused on compliance with ISO 17.025, eliminating the need for paper.
2003 - Efficiently Treated Waters
Implementation of UniLIMS in Water Treatment Plants (WTPs), strengthening our presence in the water treatment sector.
2005 - UniLIMS and Sustainability
Expansion into environmental laboratories in steel plants, contributing to more sustainable production practices.
2007 - Corporate and Accredited
Migration to corporate servers with UniLIMS Enterprise and implementation in the first ISO GUIDE 25-accredited sanitation laboratory in Brazil.
2010 - Effluent Management
Launch of the SAGRE module for advanced control in wastewater reception.
2012 - Mobility and Accuracy
Introduction of UniLabPro for tablets with offline capabilities and the UniHidro module for automated counting through microscopes.
2014 - Software Governance
Implementation of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) with the Atlassian platform and expansion of UniLIMS to Nuclear Power Plants.
2016 - Regulatory Connectivity
Launch of the UniVISA module, a pioneer in the electronic transmission of reports to SISAGUA.
2018 - Recognized Innovations
Highlighting features such as the import of Operational Bulletins and the creation of UniEcotoxi and UniColony - MPN Reader, recognized at the WEFTEC conference.
